Each year, the Paris International Dive Show showcases underwater audiovisual creation, a true extension of exploration and a way to share the passion for diving.

For this 28th edition, we have chosen a theme deeply rooted in underwater exploration:

Wrecks

Wrecks are places of memory, mystery, and discovery. They tell forgotten stories, frozen in time, and offer divers a unique realm of adventure where light, structure, and relief create scenes of remarkable intensity.

By choosing this theme, the Show invites underwater filmmakers and video creators to reveal the silent beauty of these sleeping giants, to capture their singular atmosphere, and to share the fascination they inspire beneath the surface.

The film competition of the Show features two categories, designed to recognise all profiles of participants:
• « Amateur Videographer»Category  
• « Expert Videographer» Category
A participant is considered an expert videographer if they have already been awarded in previous competitions, whether French or international, or if they have had their film broadcast on a recognised website or a television channel.
Broadcasting on personal social media accounts will not be considered for this classification.

General Information and Guidelines

• The competition is open to all videographers, regardless of age or nationality.
• When registering, each participant must choose either the Amateur Category or the Expert Category. Any error in category selection will result in the invalidation of the entry and the exclusion of the submitted films. If an error is identified by the Jury after the results have been announced, the awarded prize may be withdrawn.
• The competition aims to promote scuba diving and to highlight the richness of the underwater world through moving images.
• For the 2027 edition, films must feature a wreck, regardless of its type: boat, aircraft, submerged structure, etc.
• Beyond this thematic requirement, participants enjoy complete artistic freedom. The composition of the film is left to the videographer’s discretion.
  The filming location is free, provided it is carried out underwater and in a natural environment. Each participant must indicate the exact filming location, the name of the wreck, and provide information about its history.
• A film designed as a documentary dedicated to a wreck may also be appreciated.
• A participant may register in only one category.
  Any double registration will result in exclusion.
• Each participant may submit between 1 and 3 films.

Film Integration and Duration

• To submit a video, simply copy the YouTube URL exactly as it appears in your browser.
• The film may take various forms: promotional film, short film, advertisement, documentary, etc.
• The film must not exceed 3 minutes.
  A slight difference of a few seconds may be accepted. If the duration exceeds 4 minutes, the entry will not be accepted, and the films will be considered out of competition. Participants are encouraged to pay particular attention to the length of the end credits.
• Black‑and‑white images are accepted.
• Videos generated by artificial intelligence, even partially, are strictly prohibited. The competition aims to highlight the authentic experience of the diver and the capture of real moments in a natural underwater environment.
• The Jury will evaluate all aspects of the film: image quality, soundtrack, editing, rhythm, and overall artistic coherence.
• The organisation cannot, under any circumstances, proceed with the registration, upload or submission of films on behalf of participants.
  Each videographer is solely responsible for submitting their own works (files, links, hosting platforms) and ensuring the validity of their entry.

Competition Dates

• Registration and film submission must be completed no later than 15 November 2026, at midnight (UTC/GMT +1).
• Results will be announced on Saturday, 16 January 2027 at 5:30 PM, during the Paris International Dive Show, on the Main Stage (Espace Scénique).
• Please note: participation in the competition does not grant free entry to the Show.

Jury and Awards

• Each category will be awarded: in each of them, three winners will be recognised.
• Winners will discover the results during the official awards ceremony, held on Saturday, 16 January 2027, at the Show.
